WALK TO JOG
Becoming more active can help you get healthier; body and mind.
It’s well known fact that physical activity is good for you. In fact, being active on a regular basis is suggested as one of the best things you can do for your health. But the really interesting bonus is that exercise could be one of the best antidepressants and de-stessors out there.

IsleBe offers a choice of activity programs, using the successful JogScotland format. Each programme block is 6 or 10 weeks.
1. Walk only programme
Includes sections of brisk walking, that gradually increase each week to build up fitness. This programme is suitable for people that are inactive/ minimally active, but wish to get fitter and progress to the Walk to Jog blocks.
2. Walk to Jog programmes
The initial programme is suitable for those who can walk briskly for 30 mins, and wish to build on this. Participants start with bursts of just 30 seconds of jogging, gradually building on this each week.
Follow on blocks are provided for those who have completed the initial walk to jog programme and want to progress further – these blocks are also open to those who are ready to start a programme if they can comfortably and continuously jog for 15 minutes.
3. Mums on the Run (This programme is open to dads too!)
Getting into exercise can seem daunting at the best of times. With the addition of a baby, an exercise programme may appear out of the question.. This programme could be your perfect solution. Focus is on the needs of the mum (or dad) and you can take your little one with you in the buggy, so no child care needed.

THESE PROGRAMMES ARE SUITABLE FOR ALL HEALTHY ADULTS, REGARDLESS OF SIZE, SHAPE OR AGE.

What you need to know:
IsleBe Active groups will be kept small. Spaces will usually be limited to 4 people per group.
The programme is for over 16s
Each session is 30/45 minutes.
