Here is a little info about Nordic Walking..

Nordic Walking combines walking with core and upper body conditioning. You use poles to propel you along, making it  easier to move faster then normal without feeling the effort.  The result is a full body workout, toning upper and lower body, so that you:

  • burn up to 46% more calories compared to normal walking
  • Uses 90% of your skeletal muscles
  • release tension in the neck and shoulders
  • improve your posture and gait
  • strengthen your back, arm and abdominal muscles
  • reduce impact on the knees / other joints
  • Condition the heart and lungs

Nordic Walking can be enjoyed by people of all different fitness levels.  It’s an ideal activity for people who haven’t exercised for a while or who dislike traditional sports or gym activities.  An injured person can use the poles to support and guide, working to improve fitness as part of their rehabilitation.

NB The day before your session, I contact participants to share plans via email, I will contact you on the email address linked to your payment.  If you’d prefer I use a different email address, let me know.
